Herbal Tea Blending Class: The Fundamentals

Herbal teas (or tisanes) are an excellent way to integrate the benefits of plant medicine into your daily life. In this class, you will be introduced to some of Uma’s favorite herbs and learn how and why to use them. We will discuss the qualities of these herbs, refine the use, and flavor profile that you would like for your own blend. Participants will create their own unique herbal tea blend to take with them.

ABOUT UMA

Uma brings a wealth of knowledge about plants and herbs. Her fascination with herbal medicine began as a child helping tend the flower garden and bloomed into a life-long study of plants and natural health. She has studied with Kat Maier of Sacred Plant Traditions and Teresa Boardwine of Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine in their Clinical Herbalism Program. Many more mentors and teachers have helped add to the knowledge Uma brings to her apothecary. Uma’s Herbal Tea blends may be found at Phoenix Fitness & Yoga and her soon-to-be website.
