SAAC is seeking Seasonal Sales Associates

The Staunton Augusta Art Center is seeking seasonal sales help for our holiday art boutique set up in our art galleries at 20 S. New St. Our “Art For Gifts” boutique gallery has been offering one of a kind gifts made by local artisans and artists for over 40 years. Grand opening will be Nov. 9 from 5-8 for a special SAAC Member's Preview Party. Open to the general public from November 10th- December 31st.

 

$20 per hour


Duties to include:

 

  • Assist customers with any questions about merchandise and process sales

  • Handle all payments cash, checks and credit card purchases

  • Provide daily sales report with closing procedure

  • Track all inventory daily

  • Re-stock areas when needed

  • Communicate stock needs to the SAAC office

  • Oversee deliveries by artists and process paperwork

  • Daily opening and closing of boutique

 

Qualified candidates should have a background in retail, excellent organizational skills with strong people skills. Flexible hours from Tuesday-Sunday but applicant must be willing to work full day shifts. Hours of operation: Tuesday-Thursday noon to 5pm, Friday-Saturday 10am - 6pm, Sunday 10am-4pm Closed Monday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
